Position Summary:
The Internal Auditor Manager will lead internal audits, ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, and enhance the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and operational efficiency of the bank.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Leadership:
- Lead periodic internal audits focusing on financial matters.
- Develop and prepare annual audit plans and review audit programmes.
Compliance and Performance:
- Assess compliance with established policies, plans, and procedures.
- Evaluate the quality of performance and follow up on the implementation of recommendations from the Board of Directors.
Internal Controls and Risk Management:
- Coordinate the evaluation of internal controls and risk management practices.
- Review audit procedures and working papers to ensure effectiveness.
Supervision and Reporting:
- Supervise and guide audit staff effectively.
- Address and follow up on internal and external audit queries and responses.
Additional Duties:
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Education: University Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting/Finance.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant work experience in internal auditing.
- Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (T).
