Position Summary: Technical Advisor – Care and Treatment

The Technical Advisor – Care and Treatment will provide expert guidance and support in managing, improving, and scaling up HIV care and treatment programs. This position requires a highly skilled professional who can collaborate with multiple stakeholders, provide training and mentorship, and ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical support and capacity-building initiatives to improve HIV care and treatment services.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, local government bodies, and other stakeholders to enhance the quality of HIV services.
  • Monitor program implementation and ensure that goals and objectives are achieved in line with international health standards.
  • Provide clinical and technical expertise, focusing on quality improvement, care integration, and patient-centered approaches.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols, guidelines, and training materials for health workers.
  • Report to program management, ensuring accurate and timely updates on the program's progress and outcomes.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A degree in medicine, public health, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing HIV care and treatment programs or similar public health initiatives.
  • Strong clinical background in HIV care, with expertise in program implementation and health systems strengthening.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and mentorship skills, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
