Job Openings: Operator 1 – Equipment (2 Positions)

Purpose of the Role
The role of Operator 1 - Equipment is essential to the productivity and safety of the processing plant. The successful candidates will operate equipment efficiently and work on various mineral processing tasks, including sampling and maintenance. GGML values teamwork, environmental protection, and safety, and it’s crucial for operators to demonstrate these qualities on the job.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Minimum secondary education level; additional certification in Minerals Processing is advantageous.
- Experience: At least one year in a processing plant, ideally with gold production experience in processes like crushing, milling, and CIL (Carbon in Leach).
- Skills: Basic computer skills, fluency in Swahili or English, and no criminal record.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections, clean equipment, and ensure safe operation of the processing plant.
- Prepare and mix chemicals for gold processing and perform quality checks.
- Manage safety and preventive maintenance measures in accordance with GGML policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment and adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
