Position: Senior Internal Audit Officer

• Job Location: Morogoro Region
• Employment Type: Contractual

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits according to the monthly plan.
• Prepare and email audit reports to managers.
• Execute special audits and investigations.
• Ensure adherence to internal audit procedures.
• Test systems and controls for effectiveness and compliance.
• Analyze data and provide feedback on reliability to management.
• Lead entry and exit meetings with audit teams and management.
• Discuss audit findings and recommendations with management.
• Conduct annual stock counts.
• Maintain audit documentation and prepare working papers.
• Participate in internal audit training and departmental meetings.
• Ensure safeguarding responsibilities by promoting a safe working environment.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Uphold BRAC’s commitment to protect all stakeholders from harm, abuse, neglect, and harassment.
• Encourage and follow the safeguarding reporting procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields. CIA/CPA/ACCA qualifications are advantageous.
• Experience: At least 7 years in Internal Audit, Accounting, or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of audit standards, regulations, and internal controls.
• High attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and independent judgment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
