About Gaming Board of Tanzania (GBT)

GBT is a public regulatory authority established under the Gaming Act No. 4 of 2003. Its mission is to oversee, monitor, and regulate gaming activities in Tanzania. The Board ensures fair play, compliance, and the promotion of responsible gaming practices in the industry.

Available Positions

1. Director of Strategic Operations and Legal Services (DSOLS) – (1 Post)

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.

Key Duties: Advising on legal matters, ensuring compliance with gaming laws, and overseeing licensing and inspections.

2. Inspector III – (5 Posts)

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Gaming, Business Administration, or similar.

Key Duties: Inspect gaming premises, conduct compliance assessments, and prepare detailed reports.

3. Senior ICT Officer II (System Auditor) – (1 Post)

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent with seven years of experience.

Key Duties: Conduct ICT audits, assess system security, and provide recommendations for system improvement

4. Licensing Officer III – (3 Posts)

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Laws, Economics, Gaming, or related fields with extensive experience.

Key Duties: Process license applications, maintain licensing databases, and assist in dispute resolution.

5. Assistant Supplies Officer – (1 Post)

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Laws, Economics, or related fields with relevant experience.

Key Duties: Manage materials, maintain stock records, and oversee procurement processes.

General Application Requirements

Tanzanian citizens aged 45 years or below.
