Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking individuals with expertise in Fundraising/Resource Mobilization or Marketing who meet the following criteria:
1. Professional Excellence:
- Demonstrated leadership in the public, private, or non-profit sectors.
- Track record of driving social change and poverty reduction.
2. Christian Commitment:
- A committed Christian who actively participates in a local church (Trinitarian denomination).
- Passionate about serving communities and spreading the good news of the Kingdom of God.
3. Skills and Attributes:
- Well-connected leaders who can leverage networks to support the organization’s mission.
- Strong communication skills, including public speaking and presentation.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Prior board experience or formal board training is preferred.
4. Values and Availability:
- A heart for the poor and a spirit of humility.
- Willing to dedicate time to board activities on a voluntary basis.
What You’ll Do
As a board member, you will:
- Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance on development issues.
- Represent diversity in experience, competence, and background.
- Support resource mobilization efforts to fulfill World Vision’s mission.
- Uphold the organization’s values, especially regarding child protection and well-being.
