Now, Maternity Africa is expanding its mission by establishing a maternity health center in Dodoma, and you could play a pivotal role in making this vision a reality.

Your Role and Responsibilities

From planning to execution, you’ll lead every phase of this transformative project. Your responsibilities include:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all legal and safety requirements are met before and during construction.
  • Collaboration: Partnering with architects, engineers, and contractors to align the project with its goals.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Providing regular updates to the Maternity Africa and Barbara May Foundation boards while maintaining detailed records of progress.
  • On-Site Management: Ensuring construction quality and adherence to schedules by being present at the site.
  • Problem-Solving: Addressing challenges swiftly to keep the project on track.

Who We’re Looking For

This role is ideal for a construction professional with strong technical expertise and leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
  • Certifications: PMP, CCM, or similar project management qualifications are a plus.

Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years in the construction industry.
  • 4+ years of hands-on project management experience, particularly with health or community projects.

Skills

  • Expertise in Tanzanian construction regulations and standards.
  • Strong communication and decision-making abilities.
  • Financial acumen for budget management.
