Purpose of the Role
The Senior Manager – Operational Excellence is tasked with driving efficiency, enhancing business processes, and ensuring seamless service delivery while upholding safety, security, and superior customer experiences. The role involves leading initiatives that align with strategic objectives, optimizing systems and people to meet business goals effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence Leadership
- Spearhead the implementation of operational excellence initiatives aligned with organizational strategy and process improvements.
- Foster consistent adoption of operational excellence tools, methodologies, and standards throughout the organization.
Customer Experience Management
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address key problem areas, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
- Monitor and enhance controls within business operations to safeguard quality and efficiency.
Risk and Compliance
- Partner with second and third lines of defense to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
- Drive corrective and preventive measures, ensuring the closure of compliance and audit issues.
Cost and Quality Management
- Oversee cost optimization efforts across business operations to enhance financial performance.
- Maintain a focus on quality assurance in critical business areas, driving consistent results.
Capacity Building
- Support workforce development by conducting operational performance reviews and providing actionable recommendations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager – Bank Operations on matters of controls, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support operational goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Required Skills
- Proven leadership with a strong ability to manage teams and inspire commitment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of BOT regulations and other banking industry standards.
- Familiarity with global technology trends and their application in banking.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and listening skills.
- Results-oriented with a creative and innovative mindset.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Qualifications
- Certifications in banking, financial management, project management, operations, or Six Sigma are advantageous.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in operations, audit, or analytical roles, with a minimum of 3 years at a management level.
