Position Details
As a Shift Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in overseeing operations during your shift, managing a team of approximately 20 employees. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who possess a strong understanding of safety and food processes, leadership skills, and proficiency in Swahili and English.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Supervision
- Assign and monitor tasks for staff members.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide training as needed.
- Address and resolve employee concerns promptly.
2. Shift Management
- Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate workflows and resolve any process-related challenges.
- Open and close the facility at the beginning and end of each shift.
3. Processing and Safety
- Develop and implement a processing plan for your shift.
- Prepare reports and maintain data/inventory management systems.
- Collaborate with the engineering team on operational needs.
- Train team members on product quality and safety standards, including OSHA compliance, to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual labor and carry up to 30kg.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to motivate a team and meet deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.
