Role Overview
As a Fulfillment Supervisor, you will manage and optimize daily warehousing and dispatch operations for the Igoma market. Your goal is to ensure seamless inbound and outbound processes, achieve inventory accuracy, and fulfill customer orders promptly while driving operational excellence. You'll also play a key role in coaching team members, fostering a collaborative work environment, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inbound & Outbound Operations
- Oversee inbound and outbound activities to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries while managing costs within targets.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders, including handling customer returns as per company standards.
2. Inventory Management
- Guarantee 100% inventory accuracy by minimizing stock-outs and damages.
- Implement efficient stock handling to reduce losses.
3. Operational Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Principles within the warehouse.
- Execute tasks such as stock-taking, inventory counts, allocation accuracy, and route planning for efficient delivery scheduling.
4. People Management
- Lead and coach third-party associates to achieve shared objectives.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere and align team efforts with company goals.
- Train employees on company policies, product knowledge, and standard operating procedures.
5. Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety standards and Fulfillment SOPs.
6. Reporting
- Develop detailed reports on inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, transport costs, and related metrics to optimize market performance.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or Diploma with 3+ years of progressive career growth) in Sciences, Engineering, Computing, Economics, Accounting, or Analytics.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in supply chain management (warehousing & dispatch) in a fast-paced environment.
- 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Skills:
- Expertise in inventory and supply chain management.
- Proficiency with warehousing systems, data entry software, and Microsoft Suite.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Experience with route planning and logistics optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred Background:
- Experience in FMCG or Retail.
- Professional qualifications and membership in relevant bodies are added advantages.
