TCJE specializes in tobacco marketing, agricultural supplies, and initiatives aimed at advancing tobacco-related development for affiliated secondary societies in line with cooperative principles.
In response to the expansion of our operations, TCJE invites applications from qualified, skilled, and motivated individuals to fill the following roles:
1. Agricultural Extension Officer (1 Vacancy – Morogoro)
Role Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Agricultural Extension Officer will support farmers by delivering education and extension services to enhance crop quality and yields.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate farmers on modern agricultural practices for improved productivity.
- Guide farmers in making informed decisions to boost output.
- Provide cost-saving advice on farming techniques and equipment.
- Ensure farmers comply with crop production standards.
- Offer guidance on crop quality control and best practices in farming.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least two years of relevant experience.
- Strong integrity and communication skills.
- Proficiency in both English and Kiswahili.
- Competent in using computers.
2. Accountant (1 Vacancy – Morogoro)
Role Summary
The Accountant will report to the Chief Accountant and oversee bookkeeping, financial reporting, and routine financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage petty cash, reconcile accounts, and maintain fixed asset registers.
- Prepare management accounts and financial reports.
- Ensure proper documentation for payments, audits, and reconciliations.
- Support in preparing final accounts and maintaining financial controls.
- Monitor and manage loan accounts and statutory contributions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
3. Driver (2 Vacancies – Morogoro)
Role Summary
The Driver will ensure safe transportation of personnel and materials while maintaining the assigned vehicle in good condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and maintain the enterprise’s vehicles.
- Keep accurate vehicle logbooks and ensure timely maintenance.
- Inspect vehicles regularly and report defects promptly.
- Safeguard the vehicle’s security at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Secondary Education Certificate.
- Valid driver’s license and at least two years of experience.
- Ability to communicate in Kiswahili and English.
4. Cashier (1 Vacancy – Morogoro)
Role Summary
The Cashier will handle financial transactions, prepare reports, and maintain accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Process financial transactions and prepare invoices.
- Reconcile discrepancies and assist in tax filings.
- Maintain a secure and organized filing system.
- Prepare bank deposits and assist in month-end reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- General knowledge of accounting practices.
- Proficiency in data entry and computer literacy.
- Six months of relevant experience preferred.
5. Accounts Assistant (1 Vacancy – Morogoro)
Role Summary
Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the Accounts Assistant will support financial functions, including payroll, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts reconciliation, payroll preparation, and expense tracking.
- Process payments and maintain petty cash records.
- Ensure statutory obligations are submitted on time.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data entry and computer applications.
