Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled, dynamic, and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Communication Manager. This role will spearhead both internal and external communication strategies, enhance the organization’s brand presence, and support key program objectives through innovative communication solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Communication:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Country Communication Strategy aligned with BRAC International’s transformation goals.
- Collaborate with program teams to design tailored communication strategies for key initiatives.
- Ensure consistency and alignment of all organizational messaging across various platforms.
Media and Public Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets to increase online and offline media coverage.
- Act as the spokesperson for BRAC Tanzania Finance Ltd, representing the organization in interviews, media events, and public forums.
- Organize press releases, interviews, and prepare case stories and press kits.
Internal and External Communication:
- Maintain clear and transparent communication channels with employees and external stakeholders to keep them informed of organizational developments.
- Collaborate with media to preserve and promote the organization’s reputation.
- Analyze existing communication strategies and implement enhancements to improve effectiveness.
Brand Building and Crisis Communication:
- Lead initiatives to strengthen brand equity and manage the organization’s reputation.
- Provide capacity-building support for country focal points in crisis communication and brand building.
Safeguarding:
- Promote and uphold the safeguarding policy to ensure a safe and respectful work environment for all team members.
- Serve as a point of expertise on safeguarding issues and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, or Marketing.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years working with an international organization in a similar capacity.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and design skills, including the ability to effectively present ideas.
- In-depth knowledge of digital and social media trends.
- Experience with photography and visual storytelling.
- Excellent organizational and networking skills, with established relationships in local media.
