About the Role
Kilombero Sugar Company Limited is seeking a skilled and proactive Technician – Condition-Based Monitoring to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in ensuring optimal equipment performance and implementing effective maintenance strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and share weekly and monthly equipment condition reports with maintenance and operational teams.
- Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure timely troubleshooting of equipment issues.
- Maintain open communication with maintenance partners, including planners, mechanical, instrument, electrical, and operational personnel, to maximize plant availability.
- Plan and execute condition-based maintenance in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the company’s maintenance strategy.
- Perform alignment and balancing of rotating equipment as required.
- Adhere to maintenance best practices aligned with Illovo Integrated Asset Management Practices (IAMP).
- Properly manage and calibrate condition-monitoring tools to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in condition-based maintenance, preferably in the sugar industry or a large manufacturing firm.
- VCATII and IRCATII certifications from reputable institutions.
