Paid Internship Positions

1. Financial Officer

Help SOA Tanzania achieve financial excellence by managing resources and ensuring transparent fund utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain detailed financial records and receipts
  • Draft annual budgets and oversee audit reports
  • Manage donation campaigns and oversee financial inflows/outflows
  • Process staff payments and manage office subscriptions
  • Actively contribute to grant application processes

Qualifications:

  • Educational background in finance or accounting
  • Experience managing donations and financial reporting
  • Active membership with SOA Tanzania

2. Communication Manager

Amplify SOA Tanzania’s voice and mission through creative storytelling, engaging content, and strategic communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create graphics, blogs, newsletters, and social media content
  • Manage all social media accounts and outreach campaigns
  • Develop impactful video content for awareness campaigns

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in IT, graphic design, and social media management
  • Proficiency in tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar
  • Strong skills in science communication and advocacy
  • Active membership with SOA Tanzania

3. Human Resource Manager

Nurture and support our team while managing essential organizational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee staff welfare and productivity
  • Maintain organizational procedures and physical spaces
  • Ensure proper documentation and handle official communication

Qualifications:

  • Background in human resources or social sciences, with knowledge of marine sciences
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

Volunteering Positions

4. Project and Program Manager

5. Policy Officer

Shape the organization’s compliance and governance through well-structured policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce policies aligned with organizational goals
  • Educate staff on legal guidelines and ensure compliance

  • Proven experience in legal documentation and regulatory affairs
