Dangote Cement Plc is hiring an In Gate & Out Gate Officer to support the seamless coordination of truck movements, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company policies. Job Summary

As an In Gate & Out Gate Officer, you will play a critical role in managing the dispatch and receipt of trucks, ensuring that logistics operations run smoothly between the plant and designated areas. You will be responsible for verifying driver details, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Truck Dispatch & Verification:

  • Dispatch all trucks using SAP before exit.
  • Verify driver credentials through the biometric system before dispatch.
  • Record all truck details, including arrival/departure times, driver names, and product quantities.

Logistics Coordination & Compliance:

  • Ensure timely dispatch of Authorized Transport Companies (ATCs) to the weighbridge.
  • Maintain a real-time log of incoming and outgoing trucks.
  • Oversee the loading process to ensure efficiency and adherence to the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.

Safety & Process Improvement:

  • Ensure compliance with Dangote Cement’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
  • Prepare detailed logistics reports and provide recommendations for process enhancement.
  • Assist in other duties as required by the Senior and Head of Transport Department.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Transport & Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics management.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of cement industry logistics and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, and Project Management tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing requirements.
