Relationship Manager – Corporate & Commercial Banking

Position Objective:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Relationship Manager – Corporate & Commercial Banking to build and nurture relationships with corporate clients, driving the bank’s growth by offering tailored financial solutions. This role focuses on maximizing account profitability, securing new business, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow customer relationships by cross-selling the bank’s diverse range of products and services to maximize account profitability.
  • Actively drive collections in customer accounts for foreign exchange and other banking activities.
  • Identify and cultivate strong banking relationships with conglomerates and high-value clients.
  • Ensure seamless credit application and approval processes, with thorough and accurate documentation.
  • Source, monitor, and manage customer facilities and tenured investments.
  • Provide prompt and efficient responses to client inquiries and complaints, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
  • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly performance reports for management review.
  • Regularly monitor customers’ main accounts to identify opportunities and manage risks.
  • Take proactive recovery measures for non-performing credit facilities to mitigate risks.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date customer database, including operational records for current and prospective clients.
  • Support strategic initiatives and execute tasks assigned by the Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achieving and surpassing deposit growth targets.
  • Delivering profit-before-tax (PBT) performance against budgeted targets.
  • Timely submission of accurate revenue-generation reports.
  • Number of corporate accounts successfully opened annually.
  • Timely and effective completion of assigned tasks and ad hoc projects.
  • Efficiency in establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Achievement of assigned performance targets versus actual results.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field (a master’s degree or professional certification is an added advantage).

Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience in Relationship Management or Marketing, with a strong background in credit management.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of bank policies, processes, and internal systems.
  • Strong familiarity with the financial services sector and bank products.
