Position: Marketing Officer
Reports to: Project Manager, Technical Manager
Location: Mbozi District, Songwe Region
Contract Duration: 1 Year (Renewable based on performance, funding availability, and mutual agreement).
The Marketing Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting the KOICA project titled “Promote Income-Generating through Empowering Coffee Producers’ Cooperatives on Climate Change Adaptation in Mbozi District, Southern Highland Tanzania.” The position involves managing AMCOS business and marketing activities, fostering partnerships, and driving project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily administrative operations, including expense reporting, invoicing, inventory management, and documentation.
- Clearly communicate project plans, priorities, and technical details to staff, management, and stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment of project activities with KOICA and government policies and guidelines.
- Prepare bi-annual operational and financial reports for the KOICA coffee project.
- Provide technical support for AMCOS business activities, including marketing strategy development and business canvas design.
- Promote AMCOS marketing activities and strengthen their marketing capabilities through the project.
- Identify and establish partnerships with relevant organizations, training institutions, and micro-credit providers to enhance small business development and financial planning.
- Represent the project in stakeholder meetings, building networks with entities like the Tanzania Coffee Board (TCB), local curing companies, and AMCOS.
- Advocate for active stakeholder participation in project initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Social Business, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in social economy, cooperative business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project proposal and report writing.
Skills:
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and excellent written and verbal communication in both English and Kiswahili.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task effectively, and adapt to dynamic environments.
- Knowledge of community development and stakeholder relationship management techniques.
