Role Overview:
Kwetu Talent Management is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior HR Officer to join our Human Resources team. This role is integral to the recruitment, management, and development of our drivers and logistics staff. Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Identify, screen, and recruit top-tier drivers and logistics personnel.
  • Facilitate seamless onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
  • Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and contribute to workforce planning efforts.

Driver Management

  • Ensure drivers comply with company policies, legal requirements, licensing, and training.
  • Monitor performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Act as a bridge between drivers and management to address concerns and boost engagement.

HR Operations

  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate employee records, including contracts and attendance logs.
  • Assist in payroll preparation by ensuring driver hours and deductions are accurate.
  • Support the formulation and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Employee Relations

  • Address grievances effectively, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Promote employee engagement and initiatives that enhance workplace culture.
  • Offer guidance on company policies and ensure consistent enforcement.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Guarantee adherence to labor laws and company standards, especially for driver management.
  • Prepare and present HR reports covering turnover, training, compliance, and related metrics.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of HR experience, particularly in the logistics or transportation sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and compliance standards concerning driver management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HR software solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
