As a Chief Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations within the Finance Department. From preparing financial reports to implementing internal controls in alignment with company policies, your contributions will be integral to our success.


Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Verifying the General Cashier’s report, Income Journal vouchers, and supplier invoices, including general ledger coding of expenses.
  • Reviewing supplier payments and expense reimbursements for accuracy and supporting documentation (e.g., LPOs, invoices).
  • Validating payroll reports and supporting documents at the end of each month.
  • Preparing general ledger reconciliations and ensuring timely renewals of expiring contracts.
  • Posting and updating standard and adjustment journal voucher entries during month-end.
  • Analyzing expenses and major budget variances by reviewing the general ledger monthly.
  • Ensuring all accounting reports and job deadlines are met efficiently by the Finance team.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • A degree in Hotel Management or Accounting.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar position within a hotel environment.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written) and strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of systems like Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN System is an added advantage.
