Note: This position is not telework eligible.
About the Role
As the Strategic Content Coordination (SCC) Specialist, you will:
- Manage the Mission's online public engagement through digital platforms such as social media and mobile applications.
- Oversee the production and distribution of strategic content in digital and traditional formats tailored for Tanzanian audiences.
- Develop policies, procedures, and guidelines to leverage evolving digital communication technologies.
- Coordinate Public Diplomacy (PD) planning, audience research, and evaluation metrics.
- Establish guidelines for effective communication during crises.
Qualifications and Requirements
To qualify for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
1. Education:
A university degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Experience:
At least four years of professional experience in public engagement, communications, or market research and analysis. Experience should include designing and executing multimedia campaigns across digital and traditional formats.
3. Language Proficiency:
- Fluency (Level 4) in Speaking/Reading/Writing English.
- Fluency (Level 4) in Speaking/Reading/Writing Swahili.
4. Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and management skills.
- Proficiency in social media, digital platforms, and graphic design software.
- Excellent writing and editing abilities in English and Swahili.
- Technical expertise in digital analytics and project management.
5. Job Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of Tanzanian demographics, communication trends, and cultural nuances.
- Familiarity with commercial marketing techniques and audience analysis.
