Role Overview
We are seeking a Staff Care Associate/Specialist to oversee staff benefits and promote employee welfare. In this role, you’ll manage health insurance, handle benefits administration, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. You will also manage onboarding and offboarding processes, maintain HR data accuracy, and support strategic HR projects to improve systems and services. Reporting to the Staff Care Manager, this hybrid position is based at one of our program countries’ headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee health insurance, including employee enrollment, renewals, and sourcing vendors when necessary.
- Administer staff benefits, ensuring policy compliance and smooth operations.
- Provide guidance to employees by interpreting policies and addressing inquiries related to labor laws and staff welfare.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes to maintain accurate HR records.
- Regularly update and perform health checks on Google Sheets tools.
- Lead and support special projects to enhance global HR processes, systems, and services.

Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, project management, or related fields.
- Strong project management and execution skills.
- Ability to balance organizational and employee interests while interpreting policies.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets (Google AppScript knowledge is a bonus).
- Strong collaboration skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English (required for all locations).

As soon as possible.

Flexible: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, or Nigeria.
