Available Positions

1. Engineer II (27 Positions)

Duty Stations:
Longido DC, Nyang’wale DC, Chato DC, Katavi Regional Office, Mlele DC, Kagera Regional Office, Ngara DC, Same DC, Rombo DC, Lindi Regional Office, Butiama DC, Rorya DC, Malinyi DC, Tandahimba DC, Nanyumbu DC, Kwimba DC, Mbulu DC, Ruvuma Regional Office, Ileje DC, Mbozi DC, Itilima DC, Ikungi DC, Sikonge DC, Uyui DC, Urambo DC, Handeni DC.

Qualifications:

  • National Form IV/VI certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.
  • Professional registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB).
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Fluent in Kiswahili and English.
  • Tanzanian citizenship.
  • At least 3 years of experience in road development and maintenance projects.
  • Age: Not above 45 years.

Duties:

  • Prepare tender documents for contractor procurement.
  • Conduct road inventory, condition assessments, and traffic surveys.
  • Oversee contractor performance and force account operations.
  • Coordinate quality control for construction materials and projects.
  • Develop maintenance plans for roads and bridges.
  • Assess emergency roadwork needs and propose interventions.

Salary: As per TARURA Salary Scale.


2. Technicians II (10 Positions)

Duty Stations:
Mbogwe DC, Misenyi DC, Uvinza DC, Hai DC, Serengeti DC, Chunya DC, Bariadi DC, Nkasi DC, Kishapu DC, Tunduru DC.

Qualifications:

  • National Form IV/VI certificate.
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a Full Technician Certificate (FTC).
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Fluent in Kiswahili and English.
  • Tanzanian citizenship.
  • At least 3 years of relevant field experience.
  • Age: Not above 45 years.

Duties:

  • Inspect and report on road and bridge maintenance.
  • Participate in civil works for construction, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Conduct in situ and laboratory tests, and monitor results.
  • Maintain records of road and bridge projects.
  • Supervise maintenance operations on-site.

Salary: As per TARURA Salary Scale.
