About ISW
The Institute of Social Work (ISW) is a recognized institution under the National Social Welfare Training Institute Act No. 26 of 1973 (as amended by the Miscellaneous Act No. 3 of 2002). Accredited by the National Council for Technical Education and Vocational Education (NACTVET), ISW specializes in offering academic programs in fields such as Social Work, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, and Community Work with Children and Youth.

ISW invites qualified Public Servants to apply for transfer opportunities available at its Kijitonyama Campus in Dar es Salaam and Kisangara Campus in Mwanga.


Available Transfer Vacancies

1. Accountant II

  • Location: Kijitonyama Campus
  • Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent field from a recognized institution. Must hold professional certifications such as CPA (T), ACCA, ACA, or CIMA, as recognized by NBAA, and have at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    Prepare income and expenditure reports, manage financial records, and ensure adherence to public finance regulations.
  • Salary Scale: PGSS7

2. Estate Officer I

  • Location: Kijitonyama Campus
  • Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of four years of experience in the field.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    Oversee construction and maintenance projects, manage campus infrastructure, and perform other assigned duties.
  • Salary Scale: PGSS7

3. Senior Internal Auditor II

  • Location: Kijitonyama Campus
  • Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or related fields. Seven years of professional experience and certifications such as CPA (T), ACCA, ACA, or CIA are mandatory.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    Conduct internal audits, prepare audit reports, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Salary Scale: PGSS8

4. Personal Secretary I

  • Location: Kisangara Campus
  • Qualifications:
    Form IV or Form VI Certificate with secretarial qualifications. Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    Manage office communications, arrange meetings, type confidential documents, and support senior officers with travel arrangements.
  • Salary Scale: PGSS7

5. Planning Officer I

  • Location: Kijitonyama Campus
  • Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Economics, or a related field, with at least four years of experience.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    Participate in budget planning and control, prepare planning reports, and support operational activities.
  • Salary Scale: PGSS7

6. Senior Accountant II

  • Location: Kijitonyama Campus
  • Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or Business Administration, with a minimum of seven years of experience.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    Oversee financial transactions, approve payments, and respond to audit inquiries.
  • Salary Scale: PGSS9

7. Driver I

  • Location: Kisangara Campus
  • Qualifications:
    Form IV Certificate with a Class “C1” driving license and at least five years of driving experience. Completion of a Basic Driving Course (VETA or similar) is required.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    Safely operate vehicles, perform maintenance checks, and assist with mail collection and delivery.
  • Salary Scale: PGSS3

8. Accounts Officer II

  • Location: Kisangara Campus
  • Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields, with a minimum of four years of experience.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    Maintain financial records, reconcile bank statements, and manage payment processing.
  • Salary Scale: PGSS7
