To strengthen our fraud prevention measures, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fraud and Investigation Officer to help safeguard our institution and ensure compliance with regulatory and legal frameworks.
Position: Fraud and Investigation Officer
📍 Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
📄 Contract Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Conduct fraud and misconduct investigations within the bank.
🔹 Document investigative processes and submit detailed reports on findings.
🔹 Recommend appropriate actions in fraud-related cases.
🔹 Provide expert advice to management on fraud risks and preventive measures.
🔹 Ensure culprits are reported to relevant law enforcement agencies.
🔹 Gather evidence on fraud cases and work with public prosecutors to ensure legal action.
🔹 Coordinate prosecution efforts for criminal cases related to fraud.
🔹 Monitor bank operations for fraudulent activities and report to management.
🔹 Maintain a comprehensive record of fraud cases under police or court jurisdiction.
🔹 Prepare and present fraud caseload reports and case outcomes.
🔹 Assess internal and external fraud risks to identify potential vulnerabilities.
🔹 Deliver fraud prevention awareness to both staff and customers.
Qualifications & Experience
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized institution.
✅ Minimum of 8 years experience in fraud investigations, with at least 3 years in a corporate setting.
✅ Previous experience in the banking sector is an added advantage.
✅ Strong analytical, investigative, and decision-making skills.
✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
✅ High attention to detail and the ability to work independently under pressure.
