Role Purpose
This role supports the Engineering Department in preventing equipment failures, improving operational practices, and ensuring the effective monitoring of heavy equipment through real-time feedback and KPI tracking.
Qualifications & Experience
✅ Education Requirements:
- Secondary School Certificate with VETA Level 1/2 in Auto Electrical/Heavy Duty Mechanics OR
- Diploma/Full Technician Certificate in Auto Electrical/Heavy Duty Mechanics
- Computer literacy is a must
- Valid Tanzanian driving license (an added advantage)
- Knowledge of Mobile Equipment Electronic Condition Monitoring (Mine Care) is an added advantage
✅ Work Experience:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience working with CAT machines
- Competency in CAT Troubleshooting using CAT VIMS and CAT ET
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Equipment Monitoring & Analysis
- Assist the Asset & Reliability Superintendent with Mine Care analysis & interpretation
- Track and document process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
- Provide real-time monitoring and feedback via radio communication
🔹 Operational Efficiency & Reporting
- Develop data management processes to support decision-making
- Monitor and report KPI performance against set standards
- Maintain weekly/monthly reports for key stakeholders
🔹 Process Improvement & Change Management
- Identify and implement operational improvements
- Facilitate training and knowledge sharing on best practices
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
🔹 Compliance & Accountability
- Report challenges, risks, and opportunities to the Senior Supervisor – Mine Care
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and compliance standards
- Demonstrate work behavior that aligns with company values
Additional Skills & Competencies
✔ Sound knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards
✔ Strong problem-solving & troubleshooting skills
✔ Ability to handle pressure and conflicting priorities
✔ Effective communication in both Swahili & English
✔ Self-motivated and able to work independently
