About the Role

As a Procurement and Logistics Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our operational success, ensuring smooth procurement and logistics processes to drive efficiency across our programs in Tanzania.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Contract Management

  • Oversee and execute the procurement of goods, services, and works (below €30,000) with transparency and efficiency.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to organizational policies and global best practices.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure up-to-date data for performance tracking and reporting.

2. Team Leadership & Capacity Building

  • Lead and mentor a team of 6+ logistics and administrative staff across 6 locations in Tanzania.
  • Foster a culture of growth, accountability, and continuous improvement through coaching and training.
  • Ensure your team operates efficiently and adheres to performance standards.

3. Fleet & Transport Management

  • Oversee fleet operations, ensuring vehicle maintenance, cost efficiency, and driver support.
  • Implement systems that optimize fleet use and reduce operational costs.

4. Inventory & Asset Management

  • Monitor inventory processes, ensuring accurate tracking, optimal stock levels, and timely replenishment.
  • Oversee maintenance and utilization of office equipment and facilities across all sites.

5. Office & Facilities Management

  • Ensure secure, functional, and well-maintained office spaces.
  • Streamline logistics processes for an organized and productive work environment.

6. Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify efficiency gaps and opportunities for enhancing procurement and logistics processes.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class operational tools to boost performance and accountability.

Your Profile & Qualifications

✔️ Tanzanian citizen
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
✔️ 5+ years of experience in procurement and logistics
✔️ 5+ years of team management experience (remote management is a plus)
✔️ Strong knowledge of procurement procedures and logistics management systems
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and ERPs
✔️ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-driven mindset
✔️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✔️ Highly organized team player with a proactive and adaptable work style
✔️ Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
✔️ Experience working with donor-funded or international development programs (an asset)
