Position: Purchasing Officer

📍 Location: Liwale, Lindi
📌 Reports to: Supply Chain Officer (SCO)
⏳ Employment Type: Full-Time (100%)

Your Key Responsibilities

🔹 Conduct day-to-day purchasing activities while ensuring adherence to MSF procurement protocols.
🔹 Analyze market sources to identify the best suppliers based on value for money, quality, and pricing.
🔹 Keep supplier-item-price databases updated and inform the Supply Chain Officer of market changes.
🔹 Obtain and compare quotations from vendors to secure cost-effective purchases.
🔹 Ensure invoices and receipts are accurate and properly recorded.
🔹 Manage all administrative and accounting procedures related to procurement.
🔹 Work closely with storekeepers to ensure accurate stock reception and inventory control.
🔹 Assist in other supply chain activities as delegated by the supervisor.

What We’re Looking For

✅ Education: Minimum secondary education (commerce-related studies preferred).
✅ Experience: At least 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
✅ Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and logistics/supply chain ERP systems.
✅ Languages: Fluency in English and Kiswahili (spoken and written).
✅ Soft Skills: Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills with an ability to work under pressure.
