Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Manufacturing Department as a Maintenance Controller. This is a permanent position based in Dar es Salaam, reporting directly to the Unit Manager – Packaging.

Position: Maintenance Controller
Key Responsibilities:
1. Asset Care Management
✔ Contribute to the development of an asset care plan for utilities equipment
✔ Identify and address training needs to enhance asset care competencies
✔ Align asset care goals with technicians’ individual and team objectives
✔ Implement and support the Predictive Maintenance Strategy
✔ Ensure compliance with audit requirements for asset care
✔ Oversee budgetary controls related to asset maintenance and spare parts
✔ Assist in the development and management of the maintenance budget
2. Plant Reliability & Maintenance
✔ Ensure reliability and uptime of utilities equipment
✔ Oversee the execution of maintenance tasks and extended maintenance work
✔ Lead the team in providing engineering support to production shifts
✔ Analyze and optimize water and energy usage across the site
✔ Ensure proper execution of maintenance planning and outage maintenance
✔ Oversee spares availability to support asset management programs
✔ Conduct performance reviews and evaluations of plant reliability
3. Plant Optimization & Continuous Improvement
✔ Evaluate the impact of new equipment and recommend necessary changes
✔ Investigate causes of repeated failures and implement corrective actions
✔ Facilitate the development of Supply Chain problem-solving tools
✔ Integrate continuous improvement initiatives into technician team goals
4. Team Leadership & Management
✔ Lead the Technicians Team to promote ownership, teamwork, and accountability
✔ Develop and communicate team objectives and performance goals
✔ Conduct one-on-one coaching, performance reviews, and regular team meetings
✔ Implement training and multi-skilling programs to enhance technical capabilities
✔ Supervise outsourced maintenance services, ensuring contract compliance
5. Safety & Housekeeping Compliance
✔ Ensure adherence to safety protocols, legal requirements, and KORE standards
✔ Drive compliance with NOSA safety requirements across the site
✔ Oversee statutory and mandatory checks for asset care management
✔ Conduct regular health, safety, and housekeeping audits
✔ Improve 5S site performance measurement and reporting
Qualifications & Experience Required:
✔ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
✔ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in packaging machine maintenance
✔ Strong understanding of Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations
✔ Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
✔ High level of integrity and attention to detail
