Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) is a leading provider of specialized healthcare services in Africa, operating as a healthcare social enterprise while delivering impactful community development programs. Dedicated to preventing lifelong disabilities, CCBRT is deeply involved in maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC), including obstetric fistula repairs.
Our Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral center for high-risk and emergency deliveries in Dar es Salaam and across the Eastern Zone of Tanzania. To strengthen our Internal Audit Department, we are seeking a highly motivated Internal Auditor to support audit operations and ensure compliance with financial and operational regulations.
Position: Internal Auditor
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Contract Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Assist in planning and conducting internal audits to evaluate internal controls.
🔹 Review financial statements, transactions, and documentation for accuracy, compliance, and fraud detection.
🔹 Assess the functionality and reliability of internal systems and processes.
🔹 Analyze financial and operational data to identify risks, inconsistencies, and anomalies.
🔹 Verify financial records, account reconciliations, and inventory reports.
🔹 Document audit findings, risks, and areas for improvement, preparing detailed reports.
🔹 Support risk management initiatives and ensure compliance with IPSAS, IFRS, and industry standards.
🔹 Provide administrative and analytical support to the Chief Internal Auditor (CIA).
🔹 Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
🔹 Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive company information.
Qualifications & Experience
✅ Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
✅ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and registered with NBAA.
✅ 1 – 3 years of audit experience (experience in the health sector is an added advantage).
✅ Proficiency in auditing software, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite.
✅ Strong knowledge of auditing procedures, risk assessment, and compliance standards.
✅ Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification is an added advantage.
✅ Fluency in English and Swahili.
✅ Excellent analytical, organizational, and report-writing skills.
✅ Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
