Our Marketing & Communications team plays a key role in amplifying our impact, raising visibility, and positioning TNC Africa as a leading conservation partner. Through strategic storytelling, branding, and advocacy, we inspire action, influence policies, and engage audiences that can drive conservation forward.
What You’ll Do
As Communications Coordinator, you will support the Marketing & Communications Director for Africa in delivering impactful campaigns, managing vendors, and ensuring smooth project execution across multiple channels. Your responsibilities will include:
✅ Content & Brand Management:
- Oversee communication materials from vendors to ensure high-quality outputs that align with TNC’s brand and messaging.
- Manage the brand assets registry, ensuring proper use of branding across all platforms.
✅ Storytelling & Audience Engagement:
- Develop compelling content for various audiences, transforming technical information into engaging narratives.
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns to enhance TNC’s reach.
- Support social media management, content editing, and proofreading.
✅ Project Coordination & Vendor Management:
- Liaise with internal teams, external vendors, and contractors to streamline communication and ensure timely execution of deliverables.
- Handle procurement processes, invoice tracking, and financial responsibility for communication projects.
✅ Administrative & Budget Support:
- Assist in budget planning, monitoring, and tracking for the Marketing & Communications department.
- Organize meetings, events, and workshops, ensuring seamless logistics and coordination.
What You Bring
🎓 Education & Experience:
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
✔️ 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations (preferably in an NGO or development sector).
📌 Preferred Skills & Competencies:
✔️ Experience managing client/stakeholder relationships.
✔️ Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
✔️ Ability to translate technical content into compelling messaging.
✔️ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
✔️ Experience in branding, social media management, and marketing strategies.
✔️ Cross-cultural experience and multilingual abilities are an advantage.
