Key Responsibilities:
✔ Safety & Hazard Management
- Identify hazards along assigned routes and working areas, reporting at least five hazards per shift
- Ensure zero incidents or accidents by adhering to safety protocols and reporting any occurrences to the supervisor
- Complete Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA) and Team-Based Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before executing any tasks
✔ Equipment Operation & Compliance
- Conduct Pre-Start Inspections before operating any equipment, ensuring all deficiencies are reported and resolved
- Maintain constant communication throughout the shift (reporting at intervals not exceeding one hour)
- Operate Dump Trucks (CAT 777E, 785C) effectively, avoiding equipment damage and driving defensively
✔ Housekeeping & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping before and after every task
✔ Operational Efficiency & Target Achievement
- Work towards achieving daily planned production targets
- Participate in workplace inspections and report/correct any substandard conditions within the shift
Required Qualifications & Certifications:
🎓 Education & Licensing:
- Ordinary Secondary School Education
- Valid Tanzanian Driver’s License (Class F & G)
- Certified Dump Truck Operator License
- Basic Ground Control Training
- Formal Training Certificate from VETA or similar HME operation training institutions
🔧 Experience & Technical Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Open Pit Mining Operations
- Proven experience in operating CAT 777E, 785C Dump Trucks
- Additional experience with Water Trucks, Articulated Dump Trucks, Front End Loaders, Motor Graders, Hydraulic Excavators is an advantage
