1630 Job Vacancies at Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) – February 2025
The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) was established under the Tanzania Revenue Authority Act No. 11 of 1995 as a semi-autonomous government agency. TRA is responsible for administering central government taxes and various non-tax revenues.
TRA is currently executing its Sixth Corporate Plan (CP6: 2022/23 – 2026/27), which aims to enhance revenue collection and tax compliance. The authority’s vision is:

"We Make It Easy to Pay Tax and Enhance Compliance for Sustainable Development."
To achieve its goals, TRA has outlined 18 strategic initiatives that will propel its mission forward. The tax revenue projections for Tanzania Mainland are set to grow significantly, increasing from TZS 20,667.91 billion in 2021/22 to TZS 31,921.0 billion in 2026/27, representing an annual growth rate of 9.1%. Additionally, the tax revenue yield is expected to rise from 12.9% in 2021/22 to 14.1% in 2026/27.
