Your Role: Legal Manager
As a key member of our legal team, you will oversee the review and drafting of commercial contracts, ensuring compliance and risk management in agreements with banks, switches, microfinance banks, and other financial institutions. Your expertise will be critical in safeguarding PalmPay’s legal interests while fostering strategic business relationships.
What We’re Looking For
📜 Qualifications & Experience
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Law (Master’s in Business & Commercial Law is a plus).
✔ Minimum of 7 years of legal experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the banking or fintech industry.
✔ Expertise in drafting and reviewing SLAs with banks, switches, microfinance banks, OFIs, etc.
✔ Strong knowledge of commercial, corporate, and financial laws.
✔ Proven experience in corporate governance practices.
💡 Key Skills & Competencies
✔ Exceptional negotiation and communication skills (both verbal and written).
✔ Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal tasks in a fast-paced environment.
✔ Detail-oriented with a strategic approach to risk assessment and management.
✔ Proficiency in legal research and Microsoft Office Suite.
📍 Location: This is a fully on-site position based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
